Asian americans faced intense hostility in the United states during the 1940s. In 1965 there was a change in immigration laws and since then the middle class asians from multiple different countries arrived in vast amount of numbers, coming as college students, engineers and businessman. They later on became known as a "model minority".
Asian Americans suffered from discrimination in the American community. They were rejected from society for being mutated fusions and were not true Americans. When the country was fighting World War II, they were skeptical abutting putting the Japanese americans into the war for great fear that the asian americans will turn on them and betray the United States and helping they're asian heritage country.

Asian Americans started to attend the U.S. military academies. Asian Americans began serving as "non-whites" in the National Army after WWI and that lead the military to fall into obscurity, until WWII when vast amount of Asian Americans came and contributed. Contributions came from Korean, Japanese, Chinese and Filipinos.
After the the military was no longer segregated and the soldiers were treated as equals. The Asian Americans proved themselves worthy and gained the trust of the country.
